A valuable bronze sculpture has been stolen from a south Norfolk arts venue.

Police are appealing for information after the artwork was taken from the Diss Corn Hall in St Nicholas Street between 1pm and 1.30pm on Friday, November 23.

The sculpture had been in place on a plinth at the rear of the box office and was stolen while an art exhibition was being held.

Officers believe the cast bronze sculpture, which is approximately 30x40cm in size, was stolen for scrap value. The ornament shows a sleeping man with a hare and tortoise shell on the forehead.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC James Morgan at Diss Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
