Officers were called out about 1.30pm yesterday, (Tuesday) following reports that a man had been spotted “waving a weapon around” on the seafront area at Marine Parade.

Police inquiries led to the 29-year-old man from Lowestoft being arrested in Bevan Street West. A woman was also arrested at a property in Bevan Street West after officers discovered “a quantity of cannabis” which included 12 young cannabis plants, leaf material and hydroponic growing equipment as well as a meat cleaver.

The 29-year-old man, and 28-year-old woman, have both been bailed to return to police on April 7.
