Mystery surrounds the death of 41-year-old man discovered with serious head injuries on a pavement in Hunstanton.
An investigation was launched after the man was found in the town’s Waveney Road at 3.45am today. He died at the King’s Lynn Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the afternoon.
A 37-year-old man was tonight released on police bail after he was arrested in connection with the incident. Norfolk police are treating the death as “unexplained”, with a Home Office post mortem examination due to take place tomorrow morning. The dead man is thought to be from the local area.
A long section of the quiet residential road was cordoned off for most of the day and forensic examinations were carried out at three sites, including outside a home.
Call police on 101 with any information.
