Police were called to Depwade Court, in Long Stratton, at 11am on Friday following concerns for a man inside, who was refusing to leave the premises.

An operation, involving trained police negotiators, brought the matter to a conclusion at 1pm today when a 65-year-old man left the property voluntarily and was arrested for a public order offence. He remains in police custody at this time.

Superintendant Jo Doyle said: “The wider community was not at risk during this incident and I would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding during this operation.”
