A 20-year-old man has been charged with robbery in connection with a knifepoint raid on a village convenience store.
The raid happened at the Spar convenience store in East Harling at around 8.35pm on Friday, July 11.
A man went into the Market Street store and threatened two members of shop staff with a knife, escaping with a small amount of cash and cigarettes.
Police arrested 20-year-old Adam Osborne, of no fixed address, at around 9pm. He has since been charged with robbery.
Mr Osborne has been remanded in custody and will appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
In 2002, masked ram-raiders struck at the store. They crashed through the window in a four-wheel drive and dragged away a cash machine containing several thousand pounds.
Detectives have appealed for anyone with information about last night’s raid to contact Thetford CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
