Update: Teenager bailed to return to police after replica gun, knife and drugs were seized in Lowestoft

A 17-year-old boy from Lowestoft has been arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of an imitation firearm in Lowestoft after police seized a rucksack containing a replica gun, a knife and a quantity of cannabis.

Officers on patrol in London Road South spotted the teenager yesterday evening (Thursday, January 9), and stopped to speak to him but the 17-year-old ran off.

He was detained a short time later and officers also located a rucksack containing items including one large bag and several small bags of cannabis, a wallet, a grinder, electronic scales, phones and the weapons.

A police spokesman said: “The teenager has been bailed to return to police on February 28, pending further inquiries.”
