The death of David Entwistle - father of missing Norfolk boy Daniel Enwistle - is being treated as 'non-suspicious', police have said.
The body of Mr Enwistle, who was aged in his early 50s, was found by officers in his Lowestoft home on Wednesday.
His son Daniel went missing from his Great Yarmouth home nearly 12 years ago in May 2003.
Suffolk Police have said they were treating the death as 'non-suspicious'.
Mr Entwistle led several campaigns to find Daniel and a fresh appeal for information was launched on the tenth anniversary of his disappearance in 2013.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out.
A Norfolk police spokeswoman said: 'We can confirm that we have been informed of the death of Daniel Entwistle's father. It is not a matter for Norfolk Constabulary and a file is with the coroner in Suffolk.'
