An underground cannabis factory was uncovered by police following a raid at the weekend.

Officers seized 84 cannabis plants from the home on Dunns Lane, North Creake, on Saturday afternoon.

The police discovered 56 plants in the garden while the rest were in a cellar under a shed in the back garden.

Out of the plants under the shed, 15 were fully grown and the rest were seedlings.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of cultivating the drugs and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Supt Dave Marshall said: “We continue to put pressure on those involved with drugs in and around West Norfolk. Whether the drugs are hidden in plain sight or in an underground cellar - we will find them, seize them and bring the offenders to justice.”
