The pair, aged 19 and 35, were arrested on Thursday when police carried out warrants in north Norwich.

Officers were investigating the theft of number plates and incidents of making off without payment at petrol stations in and around the city.

Officers searched homes in Penn Grove and Blomefield Road, although no property was seized.

Both men were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

They were released yesterday and bailed until February 28.

Police are continuing with enquiries in the meantime.
