Two men have been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment as Suffolk Police investigate reports of a man being detained at an address in Beccles.
Officers were contacted about 10.40am on Monday by the man, in his mid 20s, who reported he was being held against his will at an address in Grove Road, Beccles.
He told the call-taker that he was hungry and that his captors were not at the address.
Police immediately attended the property and located the man, who showed them where he had been living. He was taken to a local police station as a place of safety.
Officers waited at the premises and on Monday afternoon made two arrests on suspicion of false imprisonment.
A 47-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were taken into custody where they were interviewed by detectives before being bailed to return to police on January 22 pending further enquiries.
