A police spokesman said: “Officers from the Lowestoft-based Territorial Support Team were on routine patrols when they noticed suspicious activity and detained a 42-year-old man for a search. A wrap of what it thought to be heroin was recovered and the 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of the drug.”

Officers then went to a property where it was thought the 42-year-old had come from and carried out a search of a flat there. A quantity of what is also believed to be heroin was recovered and the 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying it.

Both men were taken into custody where they were interviewed by officers. They have both now been bailed to return to police on Wednesday, May 22, to allow further inquiries to be carried out.
