Two men have been arrested the day after a dramatic late-night 14-car police operation in relation to a driver who failed to stop.

The white Ford Transit van failed to stop for police close to Brandon Road, in Methwold, at 10.15pm on Saturday, November 4.

Officers pursued the vehicle before the occupants of the van got out.

A police spokesman said: “Enquiries led officers to an address in Southery, near Downham Market, where two more men, aged in their 30s, were arrested for going equipped and driving offences and were taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre.

“They have both been released under investigation whilst the enquiry continues.”

One man, also his 30s, was arrested in nearby woodland shortly after fleeing the scene.

He was arrested on suspicion of going equipped and a number of driving offences.

He has since been released under investigation.
