Two men were warned they could face jail after they admitted assaulting a man, in King's Lynn

Aiden Rudd, 23, of Milton Avenue, King's Lynn, and Lein Lavell, 24, of Blackfriars Road, King's Lynn, both admitted assaulting a man on August 17, in Paradise Lane.

The two men, were originally charged with grievous bodily harm and were due to go on trial at Norwich Crown Court, but the prosecution after discussions with the defence lawyers, said the guilty pleas to assault were acceptable to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Chris Youell, prosecuting, said that the victim had been informed about the decision.

The case was adjourned for full reports and the two men are due to return for sentence on September 19.

Judge Katharine Moore warned them that all sentencing options, including prison, would be open to the court.

She said: 'This is a very serious matter.'
