Police made 22 arrests and seized 36 vehicles in a crackdown on countryside crime last month.

Officers working on the Operation Randall rural crime team say they include two people arrested for a number of burgalries in the Downham Market area, who were found in possession of suspected stolen batteries, a strimmer and quad bike.

A stolen Landrover from Cambbridgeshire was among the items recovered, along with and Ifor Williams trailer and a Timberwolf wood chipper.

Offences under investigation include a burglary at a farm in Hillington, when a green Honda TRX 500 FM all-terrain vehicle without keys, a rack of riding saddles and a large black Castle Garden ride on mower were stolen.

There have also been reports of hare coursing in South Acre, near Swaffham and an Ifor Williams trailer and John Deere ride on lawn mower have been stolen from Bircham.
