An alarm at the premises was activated about 1.10am on Monday (June 2), and police attended and found a large window had been smashed to gain entry.

The three teenagers – a 17-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, all from Lowestoft – were arrested on suspicion of burglary a short time later and were taken into custody where they were interviewed by officers.

The 17-year-old boy has also been arrested in connection with two attempted burglaries at two other shops on the North Quay Retail Park between midnight and 1.30am on Monday and on suspicion of two burglaries at the same shop in Milton Road East – one overnight Saturday, May 10 to Sunday, May 11 and the other on Monday, May 12.

He was also interviewed on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and for handling stolen goods.

He, and the other two arrested, have now been bailed to return to police on Friday, July 4, to allow further inquiries to be carried out.
