In a separate incident, a 38-year-old man was arrested outside the club shortly after 5pm on Saturday when the suspect allegedly threatened another man while in possession of a knife.

The suspect was restrained by an off-duty police officer until officers arrived and arrested him on suspicion of possessing a knife in a public place. A knife was seized at the scene.

The man was questioned at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre and has been released on bail until Wednesday January 8 while enquiries continue.

Meanwhile, two men aged 17 and 23 were arrested following an incident of disorder in the concourse in the away section of the Jarrold Stand shortly after 4pm.

The 17-year-old, who is from Manchester but cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with being drunk in a sports ground and will appear at Norwich Youth Court on January 14.

A spokesman for Norwich City said: “The club is aware of a video posted on social media of an incident in the away section of the Jarrold Stand concourse. As always, we are in full communication with Norfolk Constabulary and will of course work with them to assist with any enquiries they carry out in relation to incidents at our stadium.”
