Thieves target petrol stations in Hillington and South Raynham

Thousands of cigarettes were stolen in two break-ins at petrol stations in the early hours of today.

Thieves forced their way through the door of Hillington Petrol Station and Post Office at 2.15am and stole a quantity of cigarettes before leaving the scene. Three men wearing hooded tops were seen acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the raid.

In the second incident, thought to be linked, at around 2:50am, offenders forced their way into South Raynham Service Station and again a quantity of cigarettes were taken. A small dark vehicle was seen in the area at the time of this theft.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should call Det Sgt Pete Jessop, at King’s Lynn CID, on 101.
