Thieves stole bikes and equipment worth £3,000 from a charity which supports families in North Lynn.

Offenders broke into the Discovery Centre on Columbia Way, between 11pm on Friday and 9am on Sunday.

Police say three bicycles were stolen as well as a number of power tools.

The bikes, which were purchased by the centre for a cycling course, are described as white with red and blue stripes on the cross bar and the word PINA in black writing.

Supt Carl Edwards, of Lynn police, said: “These stolen bikes, which are owned by the Discovery Centre, are used for the benefit of local people.

“Those responsible clearly have very little in the way of a conscience, but I’d urge them to think long and hard and return them.

“If anybody knows who stole them we’d appreciate a call so we can recover them as soon as possible and deal with these thieves.”

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the times stated, has further information about the whereabouts of items stolen or has further information.

Contact PC Natasha Hodges at King’s Lynn Police Station on 101.
