Thieves have stolen 4,000 litres of diesel from a water borehole site.

The fuel was taken from the site along the A1065 in Mildenhall at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, March 4, according to Suffolk Police.

Intruders gained entry to the site by cutting a fence becore accessing a fuel tank.

They are then believed to have escaped down a mud track to the side of the site.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Sharon Coe at the Investigations Managmement Unit on 101.
