Villagers in Lynford could find it trickier to make the post on time after thieves stole a post box.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft after the Royal Mail box was taken on the road towards Brandon running between the A134 and A1065, close to the junction with the A134. The theft is believed to have taken place between 12pm on May 17 and 9am on May 19.
According to police, the post box had been pulled out of the brick pillar post it was set into.
Anyone with information about this incident, or who may have been offered a post box to buy as a collector, is asked to contact PC Ian Hinchliffe at Thetford Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
