A thief stole a gold necklace worth £675 from a Thetford jewellers.
Two men entered Waterman’s in Well Street at 10am on Monday and chatted to staff, expressing an interest in buying the necklace.
One of the men then snatched the necklace and the pair ran off towards the town centre without paying.
The necklace is described as nine carat yellow gold, with a 30 inch curb link necklace and valued at £675. Police have also issued a description of a man they would like to speak to, who is said to be white, in his early twenties, of slim build, 5ft 9in-5ft 10in tall, with very short hair in the style of a military “high and tight” cut. He was wearing a grey jumper with a white line across the chest and dark coloured trousers.
Dean Waterman, owner of the jewellers, said: “They said they were interested in it and wanted to buy it. Then one of the men snatched the necklace.”
