Suffolk police have launched an operation against burglars

A thief is believed to have stolen a purse of a 85-year-old woman while she was bring treated by a paramedic after she fell over in Lowestoft.
The woman and her daughter were walking along Alexandra Road at about 5.30pm on Wednesday when she fell over and suffered an injury to her head that required hospital treatment.
It was later found that her black leather purse, containing cash and a bank card, had gone missing from the woman’s shopping trolley.
Police believe the purse may have been snatched while she was being treated by a paramedic in the street.
Anyone with information should call PC 1632 Nield at Lowestoft police station on 101.
Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a garden pond today.
