Thetford drive-by incident as 21-year-old man hit by flying object

Police are looking for witnesses after a drive-by incident in which a 21-year-old man was struck by an object thrown from a passing car in Thetford.

The victim was walking in Charlock Road at around 10.20pm on Friday when the incident took place.

As he walked towards Rosecroft Way, a car approached from behind and he then felt a sharp pain as an unknown object hit him in the back of the head and the side of the face. The car drove off towards Rosecroft Way.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said officers would like to speak to the occupants of the car, which is described as a blue Fiat Punto, with registration beginning AP04.
