Teenager charged following alleged assault in Gorleston

A man was taken to hospital with leg wounds following an alleged assault in Gorleston.

Emergency services were called to St Hildas Crescent just before 3am on Saturday following reports of an assault.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We were called at 2.51am to an address at St Hildas Crescent, and sent an ambulance officer and an ambulance to the scene.

“One man was taken to the James Paget University Hospital with leg wounds.”

A spokesman for Norfolk police said a 16-year-old from the Yarmouth area has been charged with GBH and was today remanded into custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on June 20.
