Police need to trace a man after he approached a teenage girl and asked her inappropriate questions in Lowestoft.

A 15-year-old was walking along London Road North towards the Britten Centre in Lowestoft, about 9pm last night (Thursday, January 9) when she was approached by the man.

He is described as white, in his mid 30s to early 40s, with dark hair and wearing a grey jumper. Despite the fact the teenager was on her phone at the time, the man persisted as she walked through the centre and then offered her a lift.

She declined and, near the library, the man left her alone.

A police spokesman said: “The 15-year-old was scared by his behaviour and we need to trace the man involved.”

■ If you saw him in the area around this time, saw him with the teenager or have any information about who he is please call PC 1608 Brown at Lowestoft police on 101.
