A teenage boy has been arrested after a police car was damaged in North Walsham.

It happened at about 10.50pm on Friday, June 23 while the marked Ford Focus was parked in the library car park on New Road.

Officers were away from the vehicle at the time dealing with an incident.

Suspects smashed the driver’s front window and police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and being drunk and disorderly and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
