Student arrested at Norwich university in connection with ‘serious assault’

A student was arrested at the University of East Anglia in connection with a “serious assault”.

Police were called to the university’s library just after 2.45pm on Wednesday afternoon, where they arrested the 20-year-old student.

A police spokesperson said it was in connection with a “serious assault”.

A spokesperson for the university said: “We are aware a student was arrested on campus earlier today. As this is an ongoing police investigation the university cannot comment further at this stage.”
