Police need to trace four boys – thought to be aged about 11 to 14 – after stones were thrown at a car being driven along Hollingsworth Road.
A 78-year-old man was driving his Toyota Corolla along the road about 11.15am on Saturday morning (February 9) when he drove past the four boys – described as white, one with dark spiky hair wearing glasses, a blue top and dark trousers, another with fair hair wearing a dark blue track suit, a third with blond hair wearing a dark brown jumper and trousers and the fourth wearing a dark blue tracksuit – who were throwing stones at cars.
A police spokesman said: “At least two stones struck the Toyota, causing chip marks. The 78-year-old stopped and confronted the boys who were hiding in a garden. The four were abusive towards him before they fled.”
Police are seeking witnesses and are asking anyone with information about who the boys are to call the Lowestoft North Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101.
