Police in King’s Lynn are urging people to lock up their bikes after a spate of cycle thefts around the town.
The past week has seen 11 cycles stolen from King’s Lynn town centre, and areas including Gaywood, South Lynn and South Wootton.
Chief Insp David Buckley said: “We know that many of these cycles are taken by opportunist thieves who see a cycle left unsecured and unattended. There are simple steps which can be taken to help protect your bike. Always make sure it is locked up, even if you are at home, don’t just leave it free to be taken.”
“You can also bring your bike to your local station to have it security marked for free.”
