Six men were arrested in the Thetford area within 24 hours in two separate incidents where they were believed to being going equipped to steal.

Norfolk police arrested three men in Brunel Way in Thetford at about 1am on Sunday, February 17, following reports of men in gardens in the area.

The three, aged 16, 20 and 22 and all from Thetford, were arrested on suspicion of going equipped.

They have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The following morning, Monday, February 18, police officers stopped a car at one of the petrol stations on the A11 at Thetford at about 1am.

Three men were arrested, a 25-year-old of no fixed address and a 29 and 33 year old both from Thetford.

All three were arrested on suspicion of going equipped and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
