A shotgun was stolen during a break-in at a property in East Ruston at the weekend.

Jewellery and cash - both sterling and Euro - were also taken in the raid at an address in School Road.

The residential property was ransacked during the burglary. Among the items taken were a gold pocket watch, gold items, pearl necklace, ring and two pearl bracelets.

The raid took place sometime between Friday, August 18, at 4.30pm and Monday, August 21, at 8.40am after a side door was forced.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward. They should contact T/Det Con Steve Harrowing at Great Yarmouth CID 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A spokesperson for Norfolk Constabulary said: “Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning it.”
