A second youth has appeared in court today charged with the murder of 20-year-old Connor Barrett.
Connor, from Abyssinia Close, Great Yarmouth, died as a result of a fatal stab wound inflicted at a private birthday party held in Hemsby on May 10.
The 15-year-old boy, from the Yarmouth area, appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court this afternoon where he was remanded in youth detention until Monday morning where he will appear at Norwich Crown Court.
He had previously been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, actual bodily harm and affray as part of the murder investigation.
The teenager, who can not be named for legal reasons, is the second youth charged in connection with Connor’s death.
Last month, officers charged a 17-year-old from Yarmouth who is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on July 28.
A number of people were arrested following Connor’s death. One remains on police bail pending further enquiries.
