Robbers threaten Great Yarmouth shopkeeper with screwdriver

A businessman was threatened with a screwdriver by a pair of robbers who stole cash from his Great Yarmouth shop.

The men went into Yarmouth Pet Stores in Victoria Arcade at around 3.10pm yesterday (Wednesday) and demanded cash from the owner while threatening him with the tool.

The robbers fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed into the arcade in the direction of Regent Street.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

The first man is described as white, 6ft tall of medium build, aged in his late 20s to early 30s. He was wearing a black baseball cap with the letter M embroidered in the centre, a black scarf over his face and a light blue/grey bomber style jacket.

The second man was also white, 5ft 10in tall of medium build, aged in his mid 30s to early 40s, with short cropped grey hair and a stubbly beard.

Witnesses, or anyone who recognises the description of with robber, should call Det Con Matt Cornwall on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
