Police are appealing to witnesses after a girl in her early teens was robbed last night while walking along Muddy Lane in Watton, close to the junction with Griston Road.

She was approached by two men from behind, one of the men grabbed her and held her down while the other searched her pockets and stole a white Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, a white iPod Touch.

They also took the Next Yeti boots and two hooded tops – a black ‘Monster Monster’ one and a sage green one – she was wearing.

Both men then ran off down Muddy Lane and were thought to have been speaking in foreign language. One man was wearing dark, tight fitting jeans and described as having a part shaved from the middle of this left eyebrow.

The other man was wearing light blue stonewashed jeans.

DC Lee Hall, Thetford CID, said: “This an unusual incident for Watton and patrols to offer reassurance will increase over the next few days while we investigate.

“The victim was left very shaken by the crime, however while we look for the offenders I would advise other people in the area to stick with their friends when out and about and keep their personal belongings well hidden.”

DC Hall can be contacted on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
