People are being urged to join the hunt for a wanted criminal.

The independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers is urging members of the public to give information on the whereabouts of a man who is wanted by Norfolk Police on recall to prison, having breached the terms of his licence.

Julius Bernatos, 30, is described as white, approximately 6 foot tall, of slim build with short fair hair and blue eyes.

His nationality is Lithuanian and he is known to have links to the Kings Lynn area of Norfolk.

Ann Scott, Crimestoppers Eastern Regional Manager, said: “If you have any information on Julius Bernatos, no matter how insignificant you feel it may be, you can give information to Crimestoppers one hundred per cent anonymously either online or by calling the police (contact details are at the bottom of this story).

“In the 24 years that the charity has been running no caller has ever been identified so we can guarantee that no one will know that you contacted us with information.

“We never ask for your name or take personal details, we do not trace or record calls and callers do not have to go to court or give a statement to the Police.

“People are reminded that anyone who may be helping Julius Bernatos to avoid arrest is also committing an offence”.

The appeal for Julius Bernatos currently features on the Most Wanted section of the Crimestoppers website.

Most Wanted allows members of the public to view individuals sought by Police in their local area and give information to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously if they feel unable to go to the Police.

It is recommended that Julius Bernatos is not approached and that members of the public with any information about his whereabouts should contact Norfolk Police as soon as possible.
