Police are appealing for help from the public to trace 30-year-old David Reed, known locally as DJ Reed.

Reed is well known in Norwich city centre and has links in Earlham.

As reported, in October 2012 Reed was jailed for nearly three years after admitting to two burglaries in Norwich.

Then 29, and living in Queens Road, Yarmouth, he was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court after pleading guilty to two burglaries at an earlier hearing.

He also asked for 17 similar offences to be taken into consideration.

The court heard how Reed burgled a home in Beaconsfield Road, Norwich, on the night of Tuesday, August 28, 2012, stealing an Xbox from the lounge after climbing through a front window which had been left open.

He also targeted a house in Silver Road that night, climbing in through an open window before stealing two mobile phones, a bag and jacket.

Police identified Reed as a suspect after his fingerprints were found at both scenes.

Among the 17 similar offences Reed asked be taken into consideration, was a burglary at Silkfields sheltered housing complex near Oak Street on August 25, 2012 where a TV was stolen from a room while the resident slept in his bed.

The court sent Reed to prison for two years and eight months.

Reed is described as black, 5ft 10 tall, of medium build with short dark hair.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have information concerning his whereabouts.

Anyone with information should contact Norfolk Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
