Police seek man in CCTV image after gold necklace stolen from Thetford jewellers

Police have issued the CCTV image of a man it believes may have been involved in a theft from a jewellers in Thetford.

The image relates to an incident on May 12 at a shop in Well Street, where a £675 gold necklace was stolen.

According to police, two men entered the store at around 10am, with one of the men trying on several pieces of gold jewellery.

This man then spoke to staff for several minutes while still wearing the necklace, before leaving the premises and running off towards the town centre without paying. The necklace is described as 9 carat yellow gold, 30inch curb-link necklace valued at £675.

Officers would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV image regarding this incident. He is described as white, in his early twenties, of slim build, 5ft 9in-5ft 10in tall, with very short hair in the style of a military ‘high and tight’ cut. He was wearing a grey jumper with a white line across the chest and dark coloured trousers.
