Police are appealing for information about an attempted theft in Earlham Road in Norwich.

At approximately 8.20pm on Monday a 22-year-old man was walking along Earlham Road, close to the junction of Christchurch Road, when he was approached by another man who demanded he hand over his bag and wallet.

The victim refused and the man ran off in the direction towards the shops at Earlham House.

The suspect is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build, aged around 18 years old and as wearing a dark red hoody.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a man fitting the description in the area around the time stated. Anyone with information should call Det Con Roland Philpin at Norwich CID on 101.
