Police renew appeal following sexual assault in Lakenheath car park

Police are renewing an appeal for witnesses to come forward following a sexual assault in a restaurant car park.

The incident happened between 1am and 1.30am on August 3 in the car park of the Wok and Rock restaurant on Mill Road in Lakenheath.

A 21-year-old man from Lakenheath was arrested on suspicion of rape and has been released on police bail until October 1 pending further enquiries.

Det Insp Andy Footer, of Norfolk police, said: “We would like to hear from all persons who were at the Wok and Rock restaurant between 11pm on Saturday August 2 through to 2am on Sunday August 3, as they may have information that will help with our enquiries.

“I would like to thank those witnesses who have already come forward for their assistance in this investigation and also the staff at the restaurant who have been very cooperative.”
