Officers are appealing for information after criminal damage reports affecting local homes, a business and school property.

Attleborough Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) are investigating a number of incidents and have made anti-social behaviour their top priority to address along with partner agencies.

An access barrier was broken off its fittings outside Attleborough Junior School, in Besthorpe Road, between 2pm on Saturday, July 14 and 8.50am on Sunday, July 15. Two fences were pulled apart and a wall was damaged by vandals in Besthorpe Road on the night of July 7 or early hours of July 8.

And a window was damaged at a business premises in Church Street overnight on Saturday, June 30.

Sgt Jon Papworth, of the Attleborough SNT, said there had also been complaints received about anti-social and rowdy behaviour in the town centre, at the play area off Lomond Road and at the skate park at Connaught Hall.

“These incidents of damage and anti-social behaviour are causing concern for the community and are disrupting the daily lives of residents. We have visited these areas to offer reassurance and speak to people about these incidents, as well as meeting with the young people who have been gathering in the town.”

“We want to hear from anyone with information about any of these damage incidents, and would urge anyone experiencing anti-social or suspicious behaviour to report it to police immediately. Anyone with any concerns can contact the SNT on 101 or visit one of our regular surgeries,” he said.

The SNT is also looking to tackle anti-social alcohol consumption and anti-social behaviour in Connaught Hall car park and anti-social cycling in Attleborough town centre.

PCSO Virginie Tribut will be available at the Library on Connaught Road between 3pm and 5pm on Monday, July 23 and Wednesday, August 22.
