Police officers had to help round up around 30 sheep wandering on a main road after they escaped from a field this evening.
The animals got loose and were found on the A1065 at Litcham, near Dereham, where the road meets the B1145, at around 8.45pm.
A police spokesman said the sheep had caused “a bit of chaos” but that the landowner had been contacted and the livestock rounded up before any of them came to any harm.
The road was cleared by around 9.10pm.
Nearly 3,000 people have supported a Facebook campaign demanding safety improvements on the A47 near Dereham set up after the latest fatal crash.
