A spate of car thefts across Forest Heath sparked a call for witnesses.

Police in Forest Heath are looking for information after thefts from three vehicles overnight between January 9 and 10.

The first incident occurred in Highlands, Lakenheath, where a Honda Accord which had been left parked insecurely on a driveway was entered and protective clothing, an iPod Touch and an iPod Nano were stolen.

The next theft happened in Scots Pine Court, Red Lodge, where items of specialist clothing and a bottle of perfume were stolen from within an insecure Buick Lacrosse parked on a driveway.

The final crime took place in Bridge Farm Close, Mildenhall, where another unlocked vehicle parked on a driveway was entered and a bag containing a chequebook was stolen from inside.

The bag was later discovered by the victim behind an electricity box near to Worlington Street and Bridge Farm Close, along with some other items not belonging to the victim including a Garmin sat nav, charging leads and two Ray-Ban glasses cases.

Police say they are unable to connect these items to another crime and want to hear from anyone who believes it may be their property – it is thought that the sat nav could be from an address in Beck Row.

Call police on 101.
