A woman was punched and two men punched in the nose and slapped in the face during an early hours assault in King Street, Norwich, police said.

Three men and a woman in their mid 20s were walking along Swan Yard in Norwich at about 2.45am on Saturday, December 14, when they were approached by two other women who were verbally abusive.

Police said that as the female victim intervened she was punched in the head, before two of the men in the group received a punch to the nose and slap to the face.

The offenders then left the scene towards the Waterfront.

The woman who was physically abusive is described as black and wearing a leopard skin style top.
