The police helicopter was launched last night to chase two people who were suspected of trying to break into a warehouse in Halesworth.

Two people were seen running away from a business premises in Blyth Road Industrial Estate at about 10.50pm.

A police spokesman said officers called for back-up when two people were seen running along the railway line towards Halesworth.

A perimeter fence had been cut and a window smashed, but it is not thought that they gained entry to the building.

The men were not caught but the spokesman said enquiries are ongoing.
