Suffolk police have been dealing with a rave in the Bromeswell area of the county, which is believed to have started in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
The location of the rave, which is believed to be on land near Woodbridge, was discovered by officers about 1.20am following intelligence.
A spokesman said police had received a number of complaints throughout the night about noise, with reports that more than 150 people were in attendance.
The police spokesman said: “Officers attended the site and efforts were made to contain the area and block off access points to prevent further persons entering. About 170 people were believed to be in attendance.
“Just before 9am further officers served a Section 63 notice to close down the rave and the music was stopped,” the spokesman added.
“The site will now be cleared and officers will consider what action to take against the organisers, this may include seizing sound equipment.”
