Officers said they received “numerous telephone calls” from members of the public who reported very loud music coming from the Flying Fish Inn at Carbrooke, near Thetford.

Officers discovered a music event that was taking place outdoors on land owned by the Flying Fish, with recorded music being played and alcohol being served.

Specialist police resources were sent to the scene, and at around 1am the event was brought to a close.

Inspector Jerry Wright, from the Contact and Control Room at Wymondham, said: “Police officers at the scene spoke with those involved in the organisation and we are in the early stages of an investigation that will include interviewing the licence holder in relation to this music event.”

Anyone with information should contact Norfolk Constabulary on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
