Police are appealing for witnesses to two incidents on the A11 on Bank Holiday Monday.
At around 4.15pm a black Fiat Punto was travelling northbound near Attleborough when it struck a spare wheel which had fallen from another vehicle.
The Punto was damaged and subsequently broke down at Wymondham.
At around 4.30pm, a police vehicle was providing a lane closure around the Punto when a red lorry overtook both vehicles.
There was a collision behind the lorry involving a black Honda Civic and a black Ford Focus.
Traffic was diverted while the vehicles were recovered and the central barrier repaired, and the road reopened at 6pm.
No-one was injured in either crash.
Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed either incident, and the drivers of the two vehicles which did not stop at the scene, the red lorry and the vehicle which lost its spare wheel.
Anyone with information should contact PC Bob Warrent at Wymondham Roads Policing on the non-emergency number 101.
