The two boys, aged seven and nine, were in the Park Road/Queen’s Road area on Saturday night when a silver car came from the Yarmouth Road direction and stopped by them.

A male passenger in the back of the car wound down the window and asked the boys to get in the car before the vehicle drove away.

The incident happened between 7pm and 8.25pm.

Police want to trace the silver car, which was possibly a Mondeo, and its occupants. It is thought there were two people in the front of the car with one person in the back.

The man in the back of the car was white and aged about 30 and had short dark hair and a stubble beard.

If you have any information about the incident call PC David Wallace at Lowestoft Police Station on 101 quoting reference LO/14/3071, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
