Police found a suspected bike thief hiding under a bed.

Officers have recovered three bicycles which they believe tlo be stolen from an address in King’s Lynn.

The suspect is currently in custody, where he is assisting with enquiries.

Police tweeted: “If you recognise any of these please come to

Kings Lynn police station with proof of ownership or contact us on 101.”

Last year saw a spike in bike thefts in Lynn, particularly in the town centre.

Officers say cyclists should not leave their machines in isolated or dimly lit places. They should leave their bike where a potential thief will be clearly visible.

If yours is a very expensive bike, don’t lock it in the same place on a regular basis – so it won’t be noticed and then stolen to order.

Lock your bike through an immovable object – use a proper bike rack, ground anchor or robust street furniture, with a stout D-lock.
