People in Norwich have been urged to ensure they lock doors and windows following a burglary where the offenders gained entry through an unlocked door.

Suspects got into the address, a terraced house used for student accommodation in Merton Road, off Dereham Road, via an unlocked back door and stole a black Asus Notebook after searching rooms in the property.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened sometime between 1pm and 1.30pm on Friday, October 19.

Officers are urging students living in the city to be vigilant and make sure doors and windows are locked wherever possible.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed anything suspicious in the area around the times stated.
